City of Griffin – Solid Waste Department has received a Department of Community Affairs Grant for $550,000.00 to build a Recycling Center and purchase a Recycling Truck. New Center shall be up and running in the summer of 2008. We will update as progress begins in the spring.

Congratulations to the City of Griffin’s Solid Waste Department for winning 3 Georgia Solid Waste Association of North America Awards:

KGSB will accept rechargeable batteries and cell phones to be recycled. Each Household uses more than 5 cordless products, powered by rechargeable batteries. Please contact us to drop off a rechargeable battery and cell phone or assist us with collection of these products.
