 ABOUT US
Our primary goal is to eliminate littering within the
City of Griffin and Spalding County, Georgia.
Traditional approaches to litter, (most particularly cleanup
projects), address only the removal of litter already in
place, and does little to prevent its recurrence.
We are attacking the problem with three major initiatives
1. EDUCATION: Education is most effective if received
in the early years of life. Each year we provide an
opportunity for Kindergarten through 5th grade students to
participate in some project and/or learning experience that
supports our goals.
2. RECYCLING: Each year we team with our local
governments and provide the “One For The Chipper” Christmas
tree recycling program. Also, we mail a Recycling Resource
Information pamphlet to all Griffin and Spalding County
residents. This pamphlet provides the information needed to
properly dispose of most household trash and garbage. Please

3. CLEANUP PROJECTS: We assist with many local cleanup
projects, from roadways to the neighborhoods, working with
individuals and local businesses.
Our secondary goal is the beautification of the City of
Griffin and Spalding County landscape.
We support this goal by:
1.
Donating to the “Plant a Tree” project.
2. Donating to flower projects for highway medians
3. Providing grant money to school classrooms for outdoor
learning areas, gardens, etc.
